There are hardly two tables about international shoe sizes and foot lengths, which agree to one another in the Internet.  That’s because the fact the foot length is differently measured. Additionally anybody hardly knows, how the individual scales were developed. 
 Some shoe sizes of the scale seem to cover several sizes of the other scale, some only one... Most tables miss any mathematical or historical basis. In Europe the common measure is a French stitch, which is accurately 6.66 mm.  This results that a shoe size of 50 corresponds to 33.33 cm.  However in this case not the actual foot length, but so the shoe is measured, which around approx. 1 - 2 cm is larger than a foot.
  The Italian sizes proceed from the foot length; therefore Italian sizes are around one size smaller than French ones. 
The English sizes are based on distances from 1/3 inch =  8.46 mm. 
Already in 19th century "half" sizes were introduced also.  There are child sizes of 0 (= 4 inches) to 13 1/2;  followed by  adult sizes 1 - 14 (= 13 inches).  The scale is theoretical open, however upward the English sizes can be converted into French sizes accurately.  In many tables - also the ones of shoe manufacturers - 4 stitches are converted to 3 sizes or at all only the next sizes will be used.

Concerning the distances the American sizes correspond to the English ones, but the scales are displaced against each other.  In contrary to American sizes the French and English sizes regarding women and men’s ones aren’t different.

We can't give you a guarantee, because we get our shoes from different suppliers, so the sizes are only approximate ones. If you aren't sure, just measure your foot, add about 1,5 cm / 0.7", check the length list below and you should get the correct size. In our practise we noticed that we recommend to choose the sandals 1/2 a size smaller, because often the leather will stretch a little bit. In contrary boots we choose 1/2 a size bigger, because there is nothing more uncomfatable than a too tight boot. If it is a little bit too big you may compensate this with a wadding easily.
